# Tally Integration Guide

> Connect Tally to Hearflow to ingest form submissions and turn open-text responses into product insights.

Connect Tally to sync form submissions into Hearflow.

## Prerequisites

* A Tally workspace with forms that include customer feedback
* A Tally API key with access to the forms you want to ingest

## Connect Tally

    Open Tally settings, generate an API key, and copy it.

  <Step title="Open Hearflow integrations">
    In Hearflow, go to [Settings → Integrations](/settings) and select Tally.

  <Step title="Save and select forms">
    Paste your key, connect, and choose which forms should be synced.

## How Sync Works

**Form responses** — Selected forms are converted into transcript-like records.

**Initial backfill** — Historical responses are imported after setup completes.

**Incremental sync** — New submissions are picked up in scheduled sync runs.

  **Data access** — Hearflow only reads form metadata and responses needed for insight extraction. Your credentials are encrypted at rest.
