Surface product feedback that lives in your internal Slack conversations.

Connect Slack

Open Hearflow settings to install the Slack app.

Prerequisites

  • Workspace-admin permission to install a Slack app (or approval from an admin)
  • Public channels where customer-facing teams discuss product feedback

Connecting Slack

1

Start the install flow

In Hearflow, open Settings → Integrations and click Connect on the Slack card.
2

Approve in Slack

Slack prompts you to review the scopes Hearflow is requesting. Click Allow to finish the install. Admin approval may be required depending on your workspace policies.
3

Pick channels to ingest

After install, use the channel picker to choose which public channels to ingest. Hearflow only reads messages from channels you explicitly select.

Channels & Message Handling

Public channels only

Hearflow will not ingest private channels or direct messages.

Threads preserved

When a thread is ingested, Hearflow preserves the parent message context so the extraction has enough signal.
Least-privilege access — The app uses read-only scopes and never posts messages, invites users, or modifies your workspace. Revoke access at any time from your Slack admin panel.

Disconnecting Slack

1

Disconnect in Hearflow

Go to Settings → Integrations and click Disconnect next to Slack.
2

Remove from Slack

In Slack, open Apps → Manage Apps → Hearflow and click Remove to delete the installation from your workspace.
What happens when you disconnect — Channel syncing stops immediately. Insights already extracted remain in Hearflow.
